ПРОИСХОЖДЕНИЕ: Франция, Бельгия. ДАТА ПУБЛИКАЦИИ НАСТОЯЩЕГО СТАНДАРТА: 17.09.1990. НАЗНАЧЕНИЕ: Компаньон. КЛАССИФИКАЦИЯ FCI: 9 группа - собаки-компаньоны, карликовые собаки, 9 секция - континентальный карликовый спаниель. Без рабочих испытаний.
ОБЩИЙ ВНЕШНИЙ ВИД:
изящная, гармонично сложенная собачка, с длинной шерстью, с умеренно длинной мордочкой, которая короче черепной части головы. Веселая с очень живым нравом, ее гордая осанка подчеркивает достоинство и грациозность, движения свободные и элегантные. Корпус несколько длиннее высоты собаки. Послушна и предана хозяину, легко поддается дрессировке. Несмотря на крошечные размеры, вынослива и неутомима на прогулках. Имеет крепкое здоровье.
ВАЖНЫЕ ПРОПОРЦИИ: слегка растянутого формата.
ГОЛОВА: в нормальном соотношении к корпусу, более легкая, чем у спаниелей средних и крупных размеров.
ЧЕРЕПНАЯ ЧАСТЬ: не может быть слишком круглой при взгляде с боку или анфас, иногда присутствует средней глубины борозда между глаз. Стоп (переносица): переход ото лба к морде достаточно выражен, у более крупных особей стоп менее выражен, у более мелких - стоп выражен резко, но не под прямым углом.
ЛИЦЕВАЯ ЧАСТЬ:
Нос: круглый, маленький, черного цвета. Морда: короче, чем черепная часть головы, заостренная, не может быть вздернутой вверх. Спинка носа: прямая. Губы: узкие, плотно прилегают к челюстям, хорошо пигментированные. Челюсти/зубы: челюсти достаточно сильные, прикус ножницеобразный. Язык: при сомкнутых челюстях не должен быть виден, является недостатком, если язык виден и при касании его, он остается в том же положении. Глаза: достаточно большие, широко открытые в форме крупного миндаля, довольно низко посажены, внутренний угол глаз находится на линии пересечения морды и черепной части, очень выразительные, темного цвета, веки хорошо пигментированы.
Уши: уши большие, с закругленными кончиками и густой бахромой, посажены ближе к затылку и достаточно широко расставлены, так что видна легкая округлость черепа.
ФАЛЕН (представители с висящими ушами):
в состоянии покоя уши высоко посаженные, значительно выше, чем линия глаз, висячие, но достаточно подвижные. Уши украшены длинной волнистой шерстью, что придает собаке привлекательный вид.
ПАПИЛЬОН (в переводе с французского - бабочка, представители со стоячими ушами):
уши большие, с закругленными кончиками, c достаточно открытой, направленной в стороны ушной раковиной, угол между внутренним краем ушной раковины и горизонтальной линией составляет около 45*, является недопустимым перпендикулярный постав ушей , который походил бы на тип немецкого шпица. Внутренняя сторона ушной раковины покрыта короткой, шелковистой, слегка волнистой шерстью, которая становится длиннее ближе к внешнему краю. Внешняя сторона уха покрыта великолепной, длинной уборной шерстью, которая обрамляет край ухо роскошной бахромой.
Скрещивание этих двух видов часто приводит к получению особей с наполовину стоячими ушами, что является недопустимым.
ШЕЯ: умеренной длины, у затылка слегка изогнутая.
КОРПУС:
ЛИНИЯ ВЕРХА: крепкая, прямая. ПОЯСНИЦА: крепкая, слегка выпуклая. ГРУДЬ: широкая, достаточно глубокая. Объем грудной клетки, измеренный между двумя последними ребрами, должен приблизительно ровняться высоте в холке. Ребра хорошо изогнутые. ЛИНИЯ ЖИВОТА (низа): живот слегка подтянут.
ХВОСТ:
достаточно высоко посажен, довольно длинный, украшенный великолепной длинной шерстью. Когда собака насторожена, хвост заброшен на спину и его край может касаться спины или бедра, недопустимым считается положение, когда хвост плотно лежит на спине или образует кольца.
КОНЕЧНОСТИ:
прямые, сильные. Собака не может казаться длинноногой. Во время движения, при взгляде спереди и сзади, постав параллельный. ПЕРЕДНИЕ КОНЕЧНОСТИ: Плечи: лопатка длинная, хорошо прилегает к корпусу. Локоть: локтевой сустав крепкий, хорошо прилегает к груди, не вывернут ни внутрь, ни наружу. Пясть: слегка наклонная, при рассмотрении с боку. ЗАДНИЕ КОНЕЧНОСТИ: с хорошо развитыми углами сочленений. ЛАПЫ: довольно длинные, так называемые "заячьи лапы", когти крепкие, пигментированы соответственно окрасу. Между пальцами растет длинная мягкая шерсть.
ДВИЖЕНИЯ: легкие, свободные, изящные.
ШЕРСТНЫЙ ПОКРОВ:
ШЕРСТЬ: длинная, густая, без подшерстка шерсть, слегка волнистая (завитки не допустимы), имеет шелковистый блеск, не должна быть излишне мягкой. Структура шерсти напоминает шерсть кавалер-кинг-чарльз-спаниеля, но отличается от структуры шерсти пекинеса и совсем не имеет сходства с шерстью немецкого шпица. Шерсть на голове, на морде, на внешней поверхности передних конечностей, на нижней части задних конечностей короткая. На корпусе шерсть более длинная, на шее образует богатый воротник, спускающийся на грудь. Задняя часть передних лап имеет очесы, задние лапы обильно покрыты шерстью от крупа до скакательного сустава. Пучки шерсти могут иметься в наличии между пальцами, и могут выходить за пределы лапы, если они не придают лапе более тяжелый вид, а, наоборот, удлиняют пальцы. Длина шерсти достигает 7,5 см на корпусе и до 15 см на хвосте. ОКРАС: окрас белый с пятнами любого цвета, на корпусе, лапах белый цвет должен быть преобладающим. Голова должна быть симметрично окрашена, желательна узкая или более широкая белая проточина. Преобладающий белый цвет на голове недопустим. У всех вариантов окраса губы, веки и мочка носа должны быть хорошо пигментированы.
РАЗМЕР И ВЕС:
ВЫСОТА В ХОЛКЕ: до 28 см. Вес: две категории: 1) кобели и суки до 2,5 кг. 2) кобели от 2,5 до 4,5кг и суки от 2,5 до 5 кг. Минимальный вес: 1,5 кг.
НЕДОСТАТКИ: любое отступление от вышеуказанных положений считается недостатком, и важность недостатка оценивается в точном соотношении к его степени.

-лапы, когти которых не касаются земли (пола),
-скудный шерстный покров, мягкий или пушистый, подшерсток, шерсть в типе немецкого шпица.
ДИСКВАЛИФИЦИРУЮЩИЕ ПОРОКИ:
-агрессивность и трусливость,
-розовая или пятнистая мочка носа,
-перекус или недокус, когда резцы нижней челюсти не касаются резцов верхней челюсти,
-парализованный или постоянно видимый язык.
N.B.: кобели должны иметь два семенника, полностью опущенные в мошонку.

Papillon Breed Standard Toy Group
General Appearance The Papillon is a small, friendly, elegant toy dog of fine-boned structure, light, dainty and of lively action; distinguished from other breeds by its beautiful butterfly-like ears.
Size, Proportion, Substance Size - Height at withers, 8 to 11 inches. Fault - Over 11 inches. Disqualification - Over 12 inches. Proportion - Body must be slightly longer than the height at withers. It is not a cobby dog. Weight is in proportion to height. Substance - Of fine-boned structure.
Head
Eyes dark, round, not bulging, of medium size and alert in expression. The inner corners of the eyes are on line with the stop. Eye rims black. Ears - The ears of either the erect or drop type should be large with rounded tips, and set on the sides and toward the back of the head. (1) Ears of the erect type are carried obliquely and move like the spread wings of a butterfly. When alert, each ear forms an angle of approximately 45 degrees to the head. The leather should be of sufficient strength to maintain the erect position. (2) Ears of the drop type, known as the Phalene, are similar to the erect type, but are carried drooping and must be completely down. Faults - Ears small, pointed, set too high; one ear up, or ears partly down.
Skull - The head is small. The skull is of medium width and slightly rounded between the ears. A well-defined stop is formed where the muzzle joins the skull. Muzzle - The muzzle is fine, abruptly thinner than the head, tapering to the nose. The length of the muzzle from the tip of the nose to stop is approximately one-third the length of the head from tip of nose to occiput. Nose black, small, rounded and slightly flat on top. The following fault shall be severely penalized - Nose not black. Lips tight, thin and black. Tongue must not be visible when jaws are closed. Bite - Teeth must meet in a scissors bite. Faults - Overshot or undershot.
Neck, Topline, Body Neck of medium length. Topline - The backline is straight and level. Body - The chest is of medium depth with ribs well sprung. The belly is tucked up. Tail long, set high and carried well arched over the body. The tail is covered with a long, flowing plume. The plume may hang to either side of the body. Faults - Low-set tail; one not arched over the back, or too short.
Forequarters Shoulders well developed and laid back to allow freedom of movement. Forelegs slender, fine-boned and must be straight. Removal of dewclaws on forelegs optional. Front feet thin and elongated (hare-like), pointing neither in nor out.
Hindquarters Well developed and well angulated. The hind legs are slender, fine-boned, and parallel when viewed from behind. Hocks inclined neither in nor out. Dewclaws, if any, must be removed from hind legs. Hind feet thin and elongated (hare-like), pointing neither in nor out.
Coat Abundant, long, fine, silky, flowing, straight with resilient quality, flat on back and sides of body. A profuse frill on chest. There is no undercoat. Hair short and close on skull, muzzle, front of forelegs, and from hind feet to hocks. Ears well fringed, with the inside covered with silken hair of medium length. Backs of the forelegs are covered with feathers diminishing to the pasterns. Hind legs are covered to the hocks with abundant breeches (culottes). Tail is covered with a long, flowing plume. Hair on feet is short, but fine tufts may appear over toes and grow beyond them, forming a point.
Color Always parti-color or white with patches of any color(s). On the head, color(s) other than white must cover both ears, back and front, and extend without interruption from the ears over both eyes. A clearly defined white blaze and noseband are preferred to a solidly marked head. Symmetry of facial markings is desirable. The size, shape, placement, and presence or absence of patches of color on the body are without importance. Among the colors there is no preference, provided nose, eye rims and lips are well pigmented black.
The following faults shall be severely penalized - Color other than white not covering both ears, back and front, or not extending from the ears over both eyes. A slight extension of the white collar onto the base of the ears, or a few white hairs interspersed among the color, shall not be penalized, provided the butterfly appearance is not sacrificed. Disqualifications - An all white dog or a dog with no white.
Gait Free, quick, easy, graceful, not paddlefooted, or stiff in hip movements.
Temperament Happy, alert and friendly. Neither shy nor aggressive.
Disqualifications Height over 12 inches. An all white dog or a dog with no white.

The Kennel Club Breed Standard
Reproduced by kind permission of The Kennel Club General Appearance: Dainty well balanced little dog. An alert bearing and intelligent expression.
Characteristics: The name 'Papillon' is derived from the shape and position of the ears. When erect they are carried obliquely like the spread wings of a butterfly, hence the name. When the ears are completely dropped this type is known as the 'Phalene' (Moth). Head markings should be symmetrical, about a narrow white clearly defined blaze which is desirable but not essential to represent the body of a butterfly.
Temperament: Lively, intelligent, friendly, with no aggression; always alert.
Head & Skull: Skull slightly rounded between ears, muzzle finely pointed and abruptly finer than the skull, accentuating well defined stop. Length from tip of nose to stop approximately a third of the length of head. Nose black
Eyes: Medium size, rounded, never bulging, dark with dark rims, placed rather low in skull.
Ears: Very large, mobile with rounded tips, heavily fringed; set towards back of head far enough apart to show slightly round shape of skull. Leather firm but fine. When erect each ear should form an angle of approximately 45 degrees to head.
Mouth: Jaws strong, with perfect regular, and complete scissor bite, i.e. upper teeth closely overlapping the lower teeth and set square to the jaws. Lips thin, tight and dark in colour.
Neck: Medium length.
Forequarters: Shoulders well developed and sloping. Chest rather deep. Forelegs straight, slender and fine boned. Elbows close to chest.
Body: Fairly long with level topline; well sprung ribs, loin strong, of good length, slightly arched belly.
Hindquarters: Well developed, well turned stifle. Legs, when viewed from behind, parallel. Dewclaws on hind legs removed.
Feet: Fine, fairly long, hare-like. Tufts of hair between toes extending far beyond them.
Tail: Long, well fringed, set on high, arched over back with fringes falling to side to form plume.
Gait/Movement: Light, free-flowing, positive and free from any restriction. Viewed from in front or behind, legs and feet moving parallel to each other, with feet turning neither in nor out. Viewed from side, dog covering ground well with no hint of hackneyed action.
Coat: Abundant, flowing but without undercoat; long fine silky, falling flat on back and sides; profuse frill on chest; short and close on skull, muzzle and front parts of legs. Rear of forelegs to pasterns, tail and thighs covered with long hair.
Colour: White with patches, which may be any colour except liver. Tri-colours black and white with tan spots over eyes, tan inside ears, on cheeks and under root of tail.
Size: Height 20-28 cms (8-11 ins). Dog will appear slightly longer than high when properly furnished with ruff and hind fringes.
Faults: Any departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and the seriousness with which the fault should be regarded should be in exact proportion to its degree.
Note: Male animals should have two apparently normal testicles fully descended into the scrotum.

CLASSIFICATION F.C.I. : Group 9 Companion and Toy Dogs. Section 9 Continental Toy Spaniels. Without working trial.
GENERAL APPEARANCE : Small de luxe Toy spaniel, of a normal and harmonious build, with long hair, moderately long muzzle shorter than the skull, lively personality, graceful yet robust, proud carriage with an easy and elegant gait. His body is somewhat longer than high.
HEAD : In normal proportion to the body and proportionately lighter and shorter than in the Spaniel of large or medium size.
CRANIAL REGION : Skull : Not too rounded neither in profile nor from the front, sometimes showing a slight trace of medial furrow. Stop : Depression sufficiently accentuate. In the heavier dogs, this depression is less evident yet still defined; in the very small dogs it is clearly marked without ever showing sudden break.
FACIAL REGION : Nose : Small, black and round, but slightly flattened on top. Muzzle : Shorter than the skull, fine, pointed and not too hollow on the sides; must not be turned up. Nasal bridge : Straight. Lips : Strongly pigmented, thin and tight. Jaws/Teeth : Quite strong, closing well and normally. Tongue : Must not be visible; the fact that it is constantly visible or not drawn in when touched by the finger is a fault. Eyes : Rather large, well open, in the shape of a large almond, not prominent, set rather low in the head, the inner corner is at the intersection of the skull and the muzzle. Dark in colour and very expressive; eyelid strongly pigmented. Ears : Quite fine but firm. Whether it is the oblique ear or the hanging ear, when examined by hand, the cartilage must not end in too sharp a point. The ears are set on rather far back on the head, sufficiently apart one from the other, so as to reveal the slightly rounded shape of the skull. • Variety with hanging ears, called : PHALENE. The ear at rest is set high, considerably higher than the eye line, carried hanging and yet quite mobile. Garnished with wavy hair which may reach quite a length which gives the dog a pretty appearance. • Variety with erect ears, called : PAPILLON. The ear is set on high, the auricle (external ear) well open and turned to the side; the inner edge of the auricle forming an angle of approx. 45° with the horizontal. In no case must the ear point upwards, which would be like a Spitz type ear and must definitely be rejected. The inside of the auricle is covered with fine hairs, also wavy. The longest hairs extending slightly beyond the edge of the ear; the outer face, on the contrary, is covered with long hair forming hanging fringes extending well beyond the edges of the ear. Cross-breeding of the two varieties often produces semi-erect ears, with drooping tip; this mixed form of ear carriage is a serious fault.
NECK : Of moderate length, a little arched at the nape.
BODY : Topline : Neither too short or arched, nor saddled, without however being flat. Loin : Solid and slightly arched. Chest : Wide, fairly well let down. The circumference of the thorax taken between the past two ribs must be approximately equivalent to the height at the withers. Ribs well arched. Belly : Slightly drawn up.
TAIL : Set quite high, rather long, abundant fringe forming a lovely plume. When the dog is in action, it is carried raised along the line of the back and curved, the extreme tip may touch the back; never should it curl or lie flat on the back.
LIMBS : Legs straight, firm, fine. The dog must not seem to be raised up; seen either from the front or from back, the legs are parallel.
FOREQUARTERS : Shoulders : Well developed, well attached to the body. Arm : Of equal length as the shoulder-blade, normally angulated and well joined with it, well attached to the body. Pastern : Apparent in profile.
HINDQUARTERS : Hockjoint : Normally angulated.
FEET : Rather long, called « hare feet » resting evenly on their pads. Strong nails, preferably black, lighter in the dogs with brown or white coats (the white nails in white dogs or in dogs with white legs do not constitute a fault if the dog is otherwise well pigmented). The toes are strong with a tough pad, well furnished in between with fine hair extending beyond the tip of the foot and forming a point.
GAIT / MOVEMENT : Proud, free, easy and elegant.
COAT
HAIR : The coat, without undercoat, is abundant, glossy, wavy (not to be confused with curly), not soft but slightly resistant to the touch, with silky reflections. The hairs are inserted flat; they are quite fine, slightly curved by the wave. The appearance of the coat is similar to that of the English Toy Spaniels, but it differs definitely from that of the Pekingese Spaniel; at the same time it should not have any resemblance to the coat of the Spitz. The hair is short on the face, the muzzle, the front of the legs and the underneath part of the hock. Of medium length on the body, it gets longer on the neck to form a ruff and jabot, descending in waves on the chest; forming fringes at the ears and at the back of the forelegs; at the back of the thighs, an ample culotte with soft hair. There may be small tufts of hair between the toes and may even extend slightly beyond providing they do not give a heavy appearance to the foot, but rather give it a finer appearance by lengthening it. Certain dogs in good coat condition have hair 7,5 cm long at the withers and fringes of 15 cm on the tail.
COLOURS : All colours are admitted on a coat with a white background. On the body and legs, the white must be dominant in relation to the colour. The white on the head preferably extended by a more or less wide blaze. A white marking is admitted on the lower part of the head, but dominant white on the head constitutes a fault. In all cases, the lips, the eyelids and principally the nose must be pigmented.
SIZE AND WEIGHT: Height at the withers : About 28 cm. Weight : two categories : 1) Less than 2,5 kg for dogs and bitches. 2) From 2,5 kg to 4,5 kg for dogs, from 2,5 kg to 5 kg for bitches. Minimum weight 1,5 kg.
FAULTS : Any departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and the seriousness with which the fault should be regarded should be in exact proportion to its degree. • Skull flat, apple-shaded and bulging as in the small English Toy Spaniels. • Stop too much or insufficiently accentuated. • Nose not black. • Muzzle arched or hollow. • Depigmentation of the lips. • Overshot and especially undershot mouth. • Eye small, too round, prominent; light in colour; showing white when the dog looks straight ahead. • Depigmentation on the edges of the eyelids. • Roach- or saddle back. • Tail curly, resting on the back; falling on the side (that is the bone and not the fringes which, because of their length, fall in locks). • Forelegs bowed. • Pastern joints knotty. • Hindquarters weak. • Hindquarters, which, seen from the back, are out of the vertical at the stifle, the hocks and the feet. • Single or double dewclaws on the hind legs are undesirable and constitute a beauty fault. Their removal is therefore advisable. • Feet turning inwards or outwards. • Nails not touching the ground. • Coat poor, soft or blown (puffed up); hair planted straight or itself straight; woolly hair; undercoat indicating cross-breading with the Spitz.
ELIMINATING FAULTS : • Aggresive or overly shy. • Pink or pink spotted nose. • Excessive prognathism, overshot or undershot to the point where the incisors do not touch anymore. • Tongue paralysed or constantly visible.
Any dog clearly showing physical or behavioural abnormalities shall be disqualified.
N.B. : Male animals should have two apparently normal testicles fully descended into the scrotum.

Переводить их я не буду... можно почитать через транслейтор- переводчик..просто у меня еще лежит непереведенная статья с Лениной ссылки о сравнении 4-х стандартов..вот ее буду. надо еще австралийский стандарт найти. а еще эти стандарты для Алины,Князь Громека, ее кажется интересовало это..
